Caoimhin Mac a’ Bhaird accepting his award from Máirín Wilson

Micí s’againne by Caoimhin Mac a’ Bhaird and Christopher Ammentorp is on the shortlist for the Literacy Ireland Award for children’s book between the ages of 6 and 9. Caoimhín was present at the award on Friday in DCU to accept his nomination. Three books in total were shortlisted and Micí s’againne was the only Irish language book nominated in that category. Congratulation to The Great Big Book of Irish Wildlife by Juanita Browne and Barry Reynolds, that won the award.

Éabhlóid was proud to be nominated and we wish Literacy Association of Ireland every success in the work they are doing. Every second year they award children’s book awards to Irish writers, illustrators and publishers who promote the development of literacy in young people.
